Blue Latte

Hey friends! I wanted to share this simple but oh-so-pretty recipe that’s been bringing a little magic to my mornings lately. If you’ve never tried a blue latte before—today’s the day. 💫

This Blue Latte is more than just a beautiful drink for your Instagram feed (although, let’s be honest, it is stunning). It’s also full of powerful antioxidants and anti-inflammatory plant compounds that can be especially helpful for those of us navigating the changes that come with menopause and aging skin.

I love sipping this as a calming start to the day, or even as a mid-afternoon moment of beauty and wellness. And yes—you can absolutely top it with dried rose petals for a touch of main character energy.

More About This Recipe

What You’ll Need:

  • ½ cup hot water
  • 1 scoop blue butterfly pea flower powder
  • Frothed plant-based milk (I love oat or almond)
  • Optional: dried edible rose petals for garnish

Kitchen Tips

  • I highly recommend investing in a handheld milk frother. They’re affordable, fun to use, and give your latte that barista-level finish.
  • If you don’t have dried rose petals on hand, try a tiny sprinkle of cinnamon or edible gold dust (yes, it’s a thing!).
  • For a cold version, just pour everything over ice and stir well—instant iced blue latte.

Let’s Talk Health Benefits

This dreamy blue drink isn’t just pretty—it’s packed with wellness perks:

  • Butterfly pea flower is loaded with anthocyanins, which are plant compounds that help support skin elasticity and fight oxidative stress.
  • It’s also naturally caffeine-free and known to have calming properties, making it a gentle choice for mornings or evenings.
  • Some research even suggests it may support memory and cognitive health—which is something I know many of us are mindful of during and after menopause.
  • And bonus—because it’s caffeine-free, you can drink it anytime without worrying about sleep disruptions or jittery side effects.

Why I Love It

Sometimes it’s the little rituals that keep us grounded—and this blue latte is one of mine. It’s calming, nourishing, and makes me feel like I’ve done something lovely for myself before the day even begins.

Whether you’re looking for a caffeine-free option, a new way to hydrate, or just a gorgeous drink that feels like a spa moment at home, this one’s for you.

Tag me if you make it—I’d love to see your creations!
