More About This Recipe
Here are some of the many health benefits in the ingredients of this smoothie:
1. Vitamin C (found in strawberries and avocado)
Why It's Important: Vitamin C is essential for the production of collagen, which helps maintain skin's elasticity and firmness. As estrogen levels drop during and after menopause, skin can lose its elasticity more rapidly. Vitamin C also serves as a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from damage caused by UV exposure and environmental pollutants. 2. Healthy Fats (found in avocado and coconut cream)
Why They're Important: Healthy fats, particularly monounsaturated fats from avocado and medium-chain fatty acids from coconut cream, are crucial for hormone production and balance. They also help maintain the skin’s moisture barrier, reducing dryness and improving the overall appearance of the skin. These fats can also support cardiovascular health, which is a significant concern for women post-menopause. 3. Collagen (from vanilla collagen powder)
Why It's Important: Collagen is a key protein that helps in maintaining the structure and density of skin, bones, joints, and other body tissues. With age, the body’s natural collagen production declines, leading to wrinkles, sagging skin, and weaker joints. Supplementing with collagen can help improve skin hydration and texture, and also supports bone health, which is particularly crucial as the risk of osteoporosis increases after menopause. 4. Sea moss gel benefits: iodine, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and iron, among other minerals essential for health care. These minerals play crucial roles in bone health, hormonal balance, and immune support Did you know that Seamoss is packed with 92 essential nutrients crucial for our body's most basic functions? It includes a significant amount of: Vitamins: It is rich in nutrients A, C, E, and K, which play key roles in assisting the immune system, promoting healthy pores and skin, and helping in blood clotting.
