Simple Cooking Tips

  • Frothing soy milk: If you don’t have a milk frother, don’t worry! You can easily whisk your hot soy milk in a pan until it becomes light and frothy. For an even creamier texture, try heating it slowly before frothing.
  • Mixing dragon fruit powder: Be sure to whisk it thoroughly with hot water to get rid of any lumps. I love using a small hand whisk, but a frother works well here too.
  • Elevate it with edible flowers: Adding edible rose petals not only looks gorgeous but also adds a subtle floral aroma that makes the latte even more special.

Kitchen Tools You’ll Need:

  • Espresso Machine: If you don’t have one, feel free to use a strong brewed coffee.
  • Milk Frother or Hand Whisk: Essential for that dreamy, creamy texture.
  • Hand Whisk: Perfect for blending the dragon fruit powder smoothly into the hot espresso.
  • A Beautiful Mug: Because a pretty latte deserves a pretty cup, right?

The Health Benefits

  1. Dragon Fruit Powder: This vibrant powder is loaded with antioxidants, particularly betalains, which help fight inflammation and oxidative stress.  It’s also a good source of vitamin C, which supports your immune system and keeps your skin looking youthful and fresh.
  2. Soy Milk: Rich in protein and low in saturated fat, soy milk is a fantastic dairy alternative. It’s been shown in studies to help lower cholesterol and may benefit heart health. The isoflavones found in soy are also linked to improved bone health, especially for women over 50.
  3. Manuka Honey: Not your regular honey! Manuka honey is known for its antibacterial properties, making it great for gut health.
  4. Coconut Oil: This is where we get those good fats! Coconut oil contains medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) that may boost metabolism and provide a quick energy source. Some research suggests that MCTs can even support cognitive health as we age.

This Pink Latte is perfect for a morning treat or an afternoon break, especially when you’re looking for something that gives you both beauty and benefits. Plus, it’s just plain fun to make and sip!
