2cupsraw nuts of choice (I like to use walnuts or pecans)
1cuppitted dates
⅛tspsalt

Instructions
If dates are not soft, soak in warm water for 5 minutes.
Blend all ingredients in a food processor until fine crumbles form. Add water very slowly (1 tsp at a time) only if needed.
Pour into a 9-inch round springform pan coated with non-stick cooking spray, press down evenly, then set aside while you make the pie filling. Or store in the freezer or refrigerator for up to 3 days.
