Tips for Creating the Perfect Burrata Board
Use High-Quality Ingredients: With such simple ingredients, quality matters. Look for fresh burrata, ripe cherry tomatoes, and extra virgin olive oil with a fruity flavor.
Fresh vs. Toasted Baguette: While I love the softness of fresh baguette slices, you can toast them for extra crunch. A quick brush of olive oil and a sprinkle of salt before toasting adds even more flavor.
Chiffonade Basil for Elegance: Cutting the basil into thin ribbons (chiffonade style) not only looks beautiful but also distributes the flavor evenly. You can find my tutorial for how to do this on my YouTube channel!
Serve at Room Temperature: Burrata is best enjoyed when it’s creamy and soft, so let it come to room temperature before serving.
Tools You’ll Need
Serrated Knife: For slicing the baguette cleanly without crushing it.
Large Serving Board: A wooden or marble board works beautifully for presentation.
Small Bowls: For holding olive oil, balsamic vinegar, or extra salt and pepper on the side.
Cheese Knife or Small Spoons: For serving the burrata.
