This Strawberry Margarita Mocktail is bursting with fresh lime juice, muddled strawberries, and a homemade cilantro-jalapeño syrup that delivers just the right amount of heat. It’s sweet, citrusy, and finished with a Tajín-sugar rim for that classic margarita flair.
First, make the simple syrup - see below for link to recipe
Tajin Rim
Mix sugar, salt, and tajin in a small bowl. Transfer to a small plate
½ tsp sea salt, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp Tajin
Choose a small plate that fits the rim of your glass easily… pour the tajin mixture into the small plate and spread the mixture around the entire plate with an emphasis on the edges of the plate.
Coat rim of your margarita glass with lime juice by using a brush or placing the lime juice in a small plate, and dipping the rim of the glass into the lime juice.

More About This Recipe
Here is the link to my recipe for Jalapeño cilantro lime syrup.Agave Nectar as an alternative to tequila:Don’t have enough time to make the simple syrup? Then use Agave Nectar! You can use agave nectar, which is a syrup made from the blue agave plant. It has a sweet, deep caramel flavor profile, which is reminiscent of tequila and is distilled from the same plant. This is an excellent tequila replacement for the non-alcoholic margarita and any virgin drink that calls for tequila.
Cooking Tips
Don’t skip the rim: The Tajín-salt-sugar combo makes this mocktail feel like it came straight from a beachside bar. So fun and SO easy.
Make the syrup ahead: That jalapeño-cilantro simple syrup is gold. Store it in the fridge for up to 2 weeks and use it in everything—from mocktails to salad dressings to iced teas.
Use a muddler: A cocktail muddler makes it easier to smash your strawberries just enough to release their juices. If you don’t have one, the back of a spoon works too!
